🛠️ Core Specifications & Technical Features
According to the official product details, here are the key specifications for the UCL-03:
- Optical Construction: It features 3 elements in 3 groups with multi-layer AR (Anti-Reflective) coatings on all optical glass lenses, ensuring sharp imaging and minimal flare.
- Underwater Focus Distance: The effective shooting range is approximately 40mm to 78mm, allowing you to achieve sharp focus just about 4 cm away from the lens.
- Field of View (FOV): Approximately 90 degrees underwater.>
- Quick Release System: Pre-installed with a QR2 mount, making it fully compatible with the AOI QRS-02 (Quick Release System). This allows divers to hot-swap between macro and wide-angle lenses in just one second while underwater.
- Depth Rating: Waterproof up to 60 meters (200 feet).
- Material & Weight: Constructed with a hard-anodized aluminum alloy barrel and a silicone rubber front bumper. It weighs roughly 181g on land and 175g underwater.
Camera Compatibility & Mounting GuideBecause this is a “wet lens,” it must be mounted onto the outside of your camera’s underwater dive housing. You will need a camera-specific AOI adapter base (sold separately):
- GoPro Series (Hero 9 to 13): Requires the QRS-02-MP1P adapter.
- DJI Osmo Action Series: Action 4/5 requires QRS-02-MB3; Action 6 requires QRS-02-MB6.
- Insta360 Ace Pro Series: Ace Pro uses QRS-02-MB4; Ace Pro 2 uses QRS-02-MB5.
- Standard Thread Mounts: Can be converted using AD-UCL-03-M52 (52mm) or AD-UCL-03-M55 (55mm) thread adapters.
